The Hydrangea quercifolia 'Munchkin' or Oakleaf Hydrangea is a stunning deciduous plant known for its unusual shaped foliage. The lush leaves are oaked shaped, are a deep green which turns into a mahogany red during the colder months. The plant blooms in midsummer with white flora that turn pink as they mature.
The plant grows up to 90cm tall and wide, responds best in full sun or part shade and requires fertile, medium moisture and well-drained soils to flourish. One the plant has flowered, it will need to be pruned shortly after to ensure growth for the following year.
